– Scotty O'Connell
It is remarkable that a consistent refrain of US Navy Corpsman who serve with the US Marines, is they consider themselves more Marine than sailor. And the Marines they serve with feel the same about them. Though Scotty is not the first Navy Corpsman to grace the Patriot Feature archive, he is the first who immigrated to America before joining the service. Born in Scotland, he wanted to come to America and did so via Canada, joining the US military who became his sponsor for entry into the country. Another moving story of someone willing to shed their foreign-born blood for love of the United States of America.
This is: "O'Connell, a service story".
