  What was that "something"? Defeating tyranny and oppression, bringing freedom to subjugated peoples around the globe. Who was the "we"? The Greatest Generation of course, and in this instance, those who served in the little-known US Army Tank Destroyer units. These specialized units were created specifically to combat the notorious German armor of WWII. Unproven and previously untried, they succeeded in accomplishing their mission by whatever means necessary. And as Bill himself says: "we did it".
