Bio
- Name: Tom Wiggins
- Age: 41yrs
- Service Period: Afghanistan / Iraq
- Branch: US Army
- Introduction:
"The war in Afghanistan just ended and a lot of people feel some kind of way about that, the way it ended, the way we pulled out of there. A lot of us feel that it was in vain. The Taliban's back to doing the same stuff before we got there. But, then you look at it...hey, we went 20 years without another 911. So that's the way we kind of justify it."
– Tom Wiggins
Truly, for many, the pull out at the end of the war in Afghanistan was painful. But in the words of Purple Heart recipient Tom Wiggins, we hear the echo that the sacrifice of so many during America's longest war was not in vain. We are reminded of John 15:13..."Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." Many paid the ultimate sacrifice, many left family and friends, and the comfort of life in America - some multiple times, to sacrifice for our Freedom. We owe a great debt to those that served in this war. May we never forget.
This is: "Wiggins, a service story".
