One of the most astounding facts of WWII regards the logistics and support it took to prosecute a global war. An equally amazing fact is that the majority of WWII veterans who won the war did not serve in direct combat, but were the war machine that made the "tip of the spear" possible. For those veterans who served overseas, combat or not, the hardships showed no favoritism. This is a fascinating story of the veterinary corps who helped defeat the Japanese in the China-Burma-India theater. Without them, the pack mules used to supply combat materials over roadless terrain would not be able to function, and no supplies means no victory. Hats off to these lesser known veterans who served as the engine of the war effort.
